Church History - What Happened?
Part Two
Shabbat Shalom everyone. This is Teddy Wilson with Seekers of Yahweh Ministries and welcome to another Seekers Sabbath live. We won't be covering any Torah portions or anything today.
After the teaching last night and the response we had, we had a huge crowd. For us at least, when you're pitching hard ball and teaching righteousness, your numbers go down. We had a huge turnout and today I had more than a half a dozen comments and several questions.
There was really nothing bad, no attacks or anything, so I think that the teaching last night was well received. If you have not seen last night's teaching and you don't know what this one's going to be all about, please get a hold of us, send me an email and I'll send you last night's teaching. Shabbat Shalom everyone, halleluYah.
Thank you guys. Send me an email right there and I'll make sure to forward you the link. So at any time, if you have any questions or comments, that is the email to contact us at.
There is our phone number for the ministry as well. As you can see, I'm still in Spokane, Washington. We're still gathering news on the brother that had surgery on his leg yesterday morning, but it does look like I'll be returning home Sunday morning back to the assembly in Craigmont.
I want to thank you for your prayers for that brother. I'm sure Brother Jodell is over there probably watching in his room. They have him kind of isolated because he wouldn't do any of the COVID stuff.
So they're just treating him like he had COVID and just isolating him. But we do pray and thank Yahweh that he was able to do all this without any of the COVID hassle. Great job.
So, today we're going to be going over a few questions that were raised. Go ahead and read the questions to you prior to us launching into this. One was basically a comment with an added question.
This brother said, actually this was one of the Christian people, both of these came from Christians that watched the video. So the evidence produced was very thorough. But I personally need more scripture proving the church was a totally separate group of people that from the church you pointed out in the history presented.
Okay, so I guess what he's saying is he's seeing some things, the evidence produced was very thorough, but he wants more scripture that would prove that the church that we found in history that was erected in the second century of the common era, that that is a separate assembly proven in scripture from the one that I see we actually are supposed to be belonging to that stems from the first century teachings of the apostles. So he wants to see scripture where there is two separate, oh, I need to go to a couple of passages there. We're going to present this information just so.
I do pray that this brother's watching. He might, he's definitely not at church, but I do pray that he's either watching or will watch the recorded version, halleluYah. So we're going to be answering that question.
And the second question was, is there scripture that proves that the assembly you claim we are to be connected to, apart from the church spoken of in the second century, even existed in the Old Testament? Yes, there are scriptures for that as well. So what we're going to do is we're going to dive in to these two questions, and we're going to present scriptural information on just that. That's going to be the whole reason behind our study today on this Sabbath day.
And then we're going to be doing a Hebrew word study on the word church from the second set of passages that we go over answering the second question. So blessed be the name of Yah, Shabbat Shalom to each and every one of you. I do pray that Yahweh is bringing fresh revelation to everyone throughout answering this question.
Whatever you may be doing on this Sabbath day that is bringing growth to your walk with Yahshua and that it is directing your steps in a way of righteousness and deep shalom, deep peace, because great peace will be granted to those who love and keep Yah's commands. That is the end result, is peace in the very end. And peace within yourself now that you will be, that your soul and your, you would say spirit has been settled in knowing that you are on the right path, on the right trail to seeking out new truths.
So again, the first comment attached to a question, he says the evidence produced was very thorough, but I personally need more scripture proving the church, and that's the one that we found in the history of it all to be erected in the second century of the common era, which was after all the apostles had passed away. And in 70 AD, remember, in 70 AD when Rome ransacked the temple and Jerusalem, they slaughtered up to 1 million Torah keepers, and very many of them were believers in Messiah, because at that time period, even the convert, or excuse me, even those who came to know Yahshua attended the feasts in Yerushalayim, along with all of those that had not received them. They made the journey.
So many of our brethren were slaughtered by the Romans, who then in the second century erected a church. So the church is actually responsible for the slaughter of our brethren in the body of believers that was raised up by the apostles and their journeys into the nations, teaching the good news and bringing them back into covenant with the Father. The Roman, what we now know as the Roman Catholic Church, slaughtered up to 1 million Torah observant, many of them believing in Messiah, believers in 70 AD, 70 of the common era when they destroyed the temple.
Okay, so that's a biggie. And so he's asking for more scriptural, he says, I personally need more scripture proving the church was a totally separate group of people. So we're going to go to that.
That from the church, and that from the church, you pointed out in the history presented. Okay, so the history is going to line up with the passages that we go over right now. First I want to find my glasses.
Let's go ahead and pray before we get started. I'm sorry. Father, in the mighty name of your son, Yahshua, we just come before you this morning as we begin to study your word.
We ask that what you have breathed, your breath, your Ruach, your spirit would lead us and guide us and continue to open our understanding and to condition us to open our hearts to receive the truth, no matter what it is. If it contradicts previous beliefs, Father, we pray that you would condition our heart to receive all the truth that is presented as it comes to us. Father, we just pray that you would wipe away any pride, any hostility or any of that, anything that is not of you from our minds and our hearts, that we can operate with you with a tilled heart, one that is ready to receive the seed, the truth of your word.
And Father, we just ask for your guidance and let every word spoken here this morning be for the edification of the body of Yahshua, your redemption, as well as for the edification of the kingdom of Almighty Yah. We give you praise and we thank you so very much for your Devarim, your words, your guidance and your truth. In the mighty name of your redemption, Yahshua, we pray, halleluYah, amen.
Okay, so to answer the question, they needed more scripture. So let's go back to the prophets and then we'll come up to the very words of Mashiach as well. So this is going to enjoin prophecy from, I believe, Zechariah, let me locate that one, it just came to my mind prior to, yes, we're going to be going to Zechariah 9, we'll go there first, Zechariah 9:9. Now remember, this time period is during the dispersion.
So the prophet is writing under the inspiration of Yahweh's ruach, these things that have to do with what has happened and what will be, and what happens everywhere in between. All right, beginning of verse 9, it says, Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Sihon. Now let's go over that for a moment.
So he's prophesying to the daughter of Sihon that has now been cast out and sold into slavery. Do you understand? Okay, shout, O daughter of Yerushalayim, see your sovereign is coming to you. Who is? Their king is coming.
So this is a prophecy about the coming of Yahshua, Yahweh's redemption. And specifically, Yahweh is prophesying through Zechariah, speaking to the daughter who has been sold into slavery here and saying, don't worry, I'm coming for you. Your king is coming to you.
He is righteous and endowed with salvation, with deliverance. This is Yahweh's deliverance being spoken about, saying that it is actually the king of Israel that's going to be coming to deliver the daughter of Sihon, daughter of Yerushalayim. See your sovereign is coming to you.
He is righteous and endowed with deliverance, humble and riding on a donkey. A colt, the foal of a donkey. And I shall cut off the chariot from Ephraim and the horse from Yerushalayim and the battle bows shall be cut off and he shall speak peace to the nations and his rule is from sea to sea.
So this is speaking about a time period when the second coming will happen. So we see the first coming and the second coming of our redemption being spoken about in this passage. And from the river to the ends of the earth, verse Zechariah 9:11, also you, because of the blood of your covenant, I shall send your prisoners out of the pit.
Now look at this, return to the stronghold, you prisoners of expectation. Even today I declare that I return double unto you. For I shall bend Yehudah for me and shall fill the bowl with Ephraim and I shall stir up your sons, O Sion.
So the seed that came from Sion is going to stir up out of the nations. And I stir up your sons, O Sion, against your sons, O Greece. Do you understand? The deliverance being spoken about here, granted by the King of Israel, is saying that he is going to strengthen Yehudah and Ephraim, Ephraim here is representing the northern ten tribes of Israel, Yehudah, the southern tribes that went into captivity later on.
And those sons, that seed, those sons and daughters are going to be stirred up against the sons of Greece. Now that is directly connected to what we seen last night. First, it was this Grecianized philosophical entity, and then Rome, when they formed in the second century of the Common Era, they formed the Roman, what we now know as the Roman Catholic Church, then Rome changed everything to Latin and carried on where the sons of Greece were cut off.
Remember, they forbid that Greek or any other language would be spoke during any service that was connected to the priesthood that was erected by Rome, and that all of the facilitators would be speaking Latin and only reading out of the Latin version of the scriptures now. So we see here that this prophecy stands true. In verse 13 again, for I shall bend Yehudah for me, and I shall fill the bowl with Ephraim, and I shall stir up your sons, O Sion, that's those who were dispersed from Sion representing the city of David here, against your sons, O Greece, these are the ones who started it all, and I shall make you like the sword of a mighty man.
So the sons of Greece would be removed completely at some point, and in verse Zechariah 9:14 it says, and Yahweh shall appear for them, and His arrow go forth like lightning, and the master Yahweh sound the ram's horn. This is talking about the regathering. So there we see the ones that come from Sion or from the lineage of Dawid or from the reign of Dawid overthrowing these sons of Greece.
Now what happened after that is now the Rome steps in and takes over. Remember, that's the fourth beast, and that beast, Rome, would now rule until the coming of Mashiach, the second coming of Mashiach. So there we see Scripture in prophecy.
So here we see that it was stipulated in prophecy that this would happen. So yes, there is, and this isn't the only passage, and once we get into answering the second question, all of this is going to fit together perfectly with the history that we went over last night. Again, if you did not see last night's program, you may not know exactly what we're talking about right now, so if you're in the chat section on YouTube, you can go ahead and request a link or you can send me an email requesting the link as well.
It was almost three hours long. We went through all of the history and all of the passages, proving that the church was a latter entity that was erected in the second century of the Common Era and was totally separate from the body of believers that had been brought to deliverance through Yahshua and His apostles. And the master Yahweh, in verse 14 again, sound the ram's horn, and he shall go with whirlwinds from the south.
Yahweh of hosts shall shield them, and they shall devour and trample on sling stones, and they shall drink, roar as if with wine, and they shall be filled like basins, like the corners of the altar. And Yahweh their Elohim shall save them in that day, as the flock of His people, for the stones of the diadem sparkling over His land. For what goodness is His, and what calmness is His? Grain make the young men thrive, and new wine the maidens.
Now, so this is definitely talking about the events that will take place, and it specifically speaks about Greece being overthrown, and that's where Rome comes in, according to the same thing that you read in the book of Daniel. And Rome would exist until the second coming, or be in power, its reign, would exist until the second coming of Yahshua. Now let's go into the Brit, or the New Testament.
Remember, I love Christian people, but I'm speaking against the dogma, the teaching, and the origins of Christianity, not the people. Yahshua, our deliverance, died for everybody on the face of the earth, in order that they could receive the truth, and cleanse themselves, and start being obedient to the word of Yah, and come into the kingdom. That was the purpose of His blood, so anything that had lived, was living, or would ever live, would have the opportunity to receive the good news, and come into the kingdom of Yah.
That's the whole purpose of His death, burial, and resurrection. He said that the world, through me, might be saved, might be delivered. So yes, we see in prophecy it's there, and let's go to Matthew 16:13-21.
We're going to be reading verses 13 through 21. So, we've seen in the history last night, that the beginning of what we now know as a Roman Catholic Church did not start until well into the second century of the Common Era, and that being formed apart from, doctrinally especially, apart from the true doctrine that had already been spread by the Apostles. Remember, that's the group of people forming a church that in 70 AD ransacked Jerusalem, took control over it, and slaughtered, as Josephus said, up to one million Torah observant and believers in Messiah, up to one million people in the slaughter that took place when the temple was brought to the ground, and that entity then raised up what we now know as the Roman Catholic Church well into the second century of the Common Era, okay? And right here, we're going to see the words of our Messiah, the one who redeemed us, is going to tell us a very profound fact, that He came to gather the lost sheep of Yisrael, not Greece.
The prophecy says that He was going to take Greece out of the equation, then the Greco-Roman, the Roman-headed Greco-world would then remain as the last beast until the second coming of Yahshua. Listen to the words of our Mashiach. Again, that's Matthew chapter 16, verses 13 through 21. Matthew 16:13-21
Now when Yahshua came into the parts of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His taught ones, saying, Who do men say that I, the Son of Elohim, am? And they said, Some say Yohanan, the immerser, and others Eliah, and others Jeremiah, or one of the prophets. In verse 15, He said unto them, And you, who do you say that I am? And this is what I'm asking you Christian brothers and sisters that are watching this and that have been asking me these questions. I'm asking you the same thing.
He said to them, And you, who do you say I am? In other words, are we merely confessing in something we really don't know the source of or the origin of? And who do you say that I am? And Shimon Kepha, Simon Peter, answering said, You are the Mashiach, the anointed one, the seed that came from the house, the son of the living Elohim. The seed that came from the house of the living Elohim. That's how that would read in Hebrew.
Son is Ben, Bet Nun, seed that comes from the house. In verse 17, it says, And Yahshua answering said to him, Blessed are you, Simon ben Yoneh. Simon, son of Jonah.
For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you. See, you cannot receive this by flesh and blood. What we've received by flesh and blood and the assemblies of the nations is that you can call him whatever you want.
You can receive him at any time. And all you have to do is confess and believe and have faith, you're kingdom bound. That is one of the biggest lies.
The sinner's prayer is one of the biggest lies and hypocrisies that goes against the doctrine of the apostles and only exists in the church that was established some hundreds of years later. We're talking very recently, like in the days of Billy Graham, it was more established in the days of Billy Graham and in the 15 and 1600s, some ideology like that was extant out there, but it is very recent. That stuff was that doctrine never was never used by any apostle ever, nor the Mashiach.
Okay, so he says, You are the Mashiach, the anointed one, the son of the living Elohim. Verse 17, And Yahshua answering said to him, Blessed are you, Simon ben Yonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my father, the Ab, Aleph and Bet, the strength or the strong one of the house in Hebrew, Ab, my Ab in the Shemayim, in the heavens, he's the one that reveals these things to us. Verse 18, And I also say to you that you are Kepha, and on this rock I shall build my church, I shall build my assembly.
What was the statement made there? That Yahshua Messiah was the son of Elohim. And on that confession, that rock, on that rock, Yahshua, the true rock of Elohim, on that rock, he would build his assembly. On that confession, and on this rock, I shall build my church, and the gates of hell, the gates of the grave shall not overcome it.
So, this is verse 19 down to 21, Matthew 16:19-21 and then I'll go back and make a point here. And I shall give you the keys to the reign of the Shemayim. That confession, that Yahshua is the son of Elohim, will be the rock or the statement that you must confess to in order for that to be the foundation of you becoming part of the assembly that Yahshua began to form in the first century.
Did we read any history last night in that church, the Roman Catholic Church, and then it went down to Lutheranism, Protestantism, and all of that. Did we read anything that would connect its people to this body of people? No way. We've seen that they instituted rosary, they instituted confession booths, they instituted all of these other things that you must adhere to, but none of this.
That is another proof that it was two separate bodies, two separate assemblies of people. Again, into the first century, all of the apostles are dead. By 95 or 100 of the Common Era, the curtain goes down, and then it comes back up in the second, third, and fourth century, and it's a whole new group of people.
Not one Hebrew is involved at all. Not one Israelite is involved in any of it, and we have a new church, we have a new assembly, we have new rules, and we have new guidelines that never really sat with the believers in Christ, J.C. Do you understand? It's very obviously two separate groups of people, and no, I don't believe I was saved in the church. All of the factions that are connected to true redemption stated by the apostles is void in the church.
There is no obedience to his commandments, and J.C. is obviously connected to pagan idolatry after all of the information that we pulled up last night, and I don't say that to, again, we want to try to put away all of our pride in being called a Christian. Let's wipe all of that away. It doesn't change the fact that you believe that there was a Savior who died for you.
This is revealing to you who he really was and what he absolutely expects out of us. Look at what he told Kepha. You're right to say that I am the seed that came from the house of Elohim, his bed.
I am the word, the seed, made flesh or came into a body to redeem you. We just read who that would be back in Zechariah. So the doctrinal principles are void in the church, the Roman Catholic church, the Catholic church, the Protestant church, and Lutheranism.
Everything that has evolved from that thing that was erected in the 2nd century is not directly connected by Scripture to the assembly of people that Yahshua said, and the gates of hell, the gates of the grave will not prevail against you. Verse 18 and 19 again, And I say to you that you are Kepha, and on this rock I shall build my assembly, and the gates of the grave, the gates of hell, shall not overcome it. And I shall give you the keys of the reign of the Shemayim, the reign of the heavens, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
Do you understand what he just said? The apostles here were just given the ability to loose things that are in bondage on the earth, and to bind things on the earth, and they would also be bound in the heavens. In other words, that's why we see in Acts chapter 2, I'm going to read this, you don't have to turn there, in verse 42 in chapter 2 of the book of Acts, Acts 2:42 it says, And they were continuing steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine, in the teaching of the apostles, because the teaching of the apostles is the words, the rock words, spoken that the gates of hell cannot prevail against. Everything that the apostles taught by the inspiration of the Ruach, or what was breathed by the Mashiach are the same things that were breathed by YAH prior to Him coming to redeem His people.
It doesn't say that they stayed steadfastly in the church's doctrine that began to be disputed from the 2nd century all the way to the 4th century of the common era. Constantine finally made it a law to try to stop the dissension and the different types of beliefs that were stemming from what he was trying to erect, or what they had been trying to erect since 200 of the common era. It's obviously a separate set of rules and teachings that cannot be directly connected to the apostles' doctrine.
They have their own doctrines. Faith and grace, dispensationalism is also man-made doctrines. That's not what we see was taught by the apostles.
That's why they were all gathered in one accord in the book of Acts. They had all things in common. Back to Matthew.
Again in verse 16. We're going to finish up here with verse 20 and 21. Matthew 16:20-21 And to be raised again on the third day.
So, absolutely. There's plenty of scripture. There's more, but we have some from the prophecies and from the words of Mashiach himself.
On to the second question. Now this is a big one. halleluYah.
We'll do a Hebrew word study at the end of this. Make sure everything's going okay over here. While I'm at it, Stephen, I'm going to go ahead and make you a moderator as well.
Let me go over to YouTube. Because last night, for some reason, the moderator was not able to operate. So I want to appoint plenty of moderators.
How come I can't see that? Oh, here it is. Add as a moderator. All right.
So, Stephen, you should be able to moderate now. Robert Talusa, I also made you a moderator. That means that if I need you to, you can stop all of the nonsense that goes on.
It might take a minute to confirm you, Stephen, but I have made you a moderator. Robert, you're a moderator. And Sister Alicia will still remain a moderator.
I appointed a few moderators last night. Okay. All right.
So back to the teaching. All right. Now the second question.
Now remember, these were sent in by Christians who watched last night's program. And that was the whole point. There had been a dozen or more things that have came up over the past several days.
And so this was a biggie. We took time out from our study of the whole book of James in order to do this, which we'll be resuming that next Friday night, Yahweh willing. So, again, the second question is, is there scripture that proves that the assembly you claim we are to be connected to, apart from the church that you spoke about in history in the second century of the common era, is there scriptural proof that that assembly you claim we should be connected to, apart from that church? He's talking about the one that was erected in the second century.
Is there proof that the one that we were supposed to be connected to existed in the Old Testament? Absolutely a great question. All right. So now, actually, one of these was sent in by a Christian brother, and one was sent in by a Christian sister.
All right. Now, so, yes, there is. There is.
There is definitely. And so I know the passage that we're going to go to, and it just so happens I checked the drawer over there by the nightstand, and guess what was in there? Yep. Okay.
So if you're reading a New King James or a King James or an American Standard version or whatever, okay, this is a Gideon. And what I'm going to do is first I'm going to read this verse out of the exact verbiage that you're reading in the Holy Bible. Okay? So I want everybody to turn to Acts 7, and we're going to read verse 38 out of this Gideon Bible.
And it's going to read almost word for word with the majority of the Christian Bibles that you are used to reading out of in the church. Again, it's going to be in Acts 7:38. Specifically, we're going to read verse 38. See what it says here.
This is the one. So many of you understand that this is where Stephanos or Stephen was ministering to some folks. It didn't turn out so well.
We're going to go read it all the way through. But I wanted to read this passage. He's ministering the Savior to them, and this is what he says in verse 38.
Speaking about the Messiah, the anointed one of Israel, this is the one who was in the church in the wilderness. What? This is the one who was in the church in the wilderness. Many of you are seeing the word congregation.
This is the one who was with the church congregation in the wilderness with the angel who spoke to him at Mount Sinai. Do you understand? There's the proof that the assembly being spoken about here or spoken to here in the first century by Stephanos, an apostle, called out one, a believer. One sent out with a message.
Listen to this. This is the one who was in the church congregation in the wilderness with the angel who spoke to him at Mount Sinai and with our fathers. He received the living oracles to give unto us.
Right out of the Holy Bible, it specifically says that the church was at the mountain at Mount Sinai. And we're going to see why it says that when we do a Hebrew word study from the English word church to the Greek word that they translated into church and then into the Hebrew word that that goes back to in the very passages spoken about in the Holy Bible. So going back to Acts chapter seven, we're going to be reading 38 verse 38 through 60. Acts 7:38-60
I'm going to be reading from the scriptures, which has corrected a lot of these mistranslations, but it's not mistakeless. Make that clear. It is not without error.
No translation is without error. Especially if you're reading the 2010 or nine version. Verse 38 through 60.
That's going to be the end of the chapter. This is he who was with the assembly in the wilderness, which the messenger who spoke to him on Mount Sinai and with our fathers who received the living words to give unto us. This is correct.
Directly connecting there. Okay. What is this telling us, Teddy? With our fathers.
The people who were in the assembly in the first century being gathered by Yahshua and at this point his apostles, okay? Their fathers were the ones who stood at the mountain. Not Eusebius in origin and Constantine and Tertullian. No.
The fathers of the assembly in the first century were those people who stood assembled, that's church as we're going to see, at Mount Sinai. That is where the church, the true church originated, if you will. But it wasn't referred to as a church as we're going to see.
It means to be gathered. An assemblage of people. Kahal, if you will.
halleluYah. That's where we get the English word call from. Call him up.
Call him up. So that is the fathers of the assembly that was brought forth by the apostles in the first century. The fathers were those who said I do at Mount Sinai.
Where all the tribes of Yisrael were gathered together, assembled, the congregation of people at Mount Sinai. Those are our fathers according to the apostles. The assembly that was being regathered by Yahshua predates the church that began in the second century of the common era by a few millennia.
Centuries and centuries predating what we found in the history of all these encyclopedia sets. Predating them to Mount Sinai. So let me ask you, you Christian brothers and sisters.
Do you understand that what we called ourselves as Christians separates us from the fathers of the true assembly, the true church? It separates us from them. When we claim to be Protestant, Lutheran, Methodist, there's some 40,000 different factions of Christianity. And the word Christianity can't even be found in the whole of any Bible.
Any set of scriptures. It doesn't even exist. However, this is what scripture says.
This is the question you guys asked. And this is the answer I'm going to produce. You wanted scripture.
Here it is. Look at what happened at Mount Sinai. Again in verse Acts 7:38.
And with our fathers who received the living oracles, the living words to give unto us. Verse Acts 7:39. So what is that telling us? The law that was presented to us on our way out of Egypt, coming up to the mountain, and until the end of the days of Moshe and Joshua.
That all of our fathers, all of our church fathers, if you will, are those men. And what they were given by the word of Yah would cause us to live. The law and the prophets are the very oracles of the living words of Yah Almighty.
Verse 39. Unto whom our fathers would not become obedient. Means that they became sons of disobedience.
To what? The commandments, the very oracles of the living Elohim. That was originally breathed to the, so that you can understand, church that was in the wilderness. Unto whom our fathers would not become obedient, but thrust away, and in their hearts they turned back to Egypt.
Doing what they wanted, just working their lives away. That's where many believers in our faith are today. Oh, they're working six days a week.
Eight, nine, ten, twelve hours a day. Show up to Shabbat, hear some music played, and say some prayers, and listen to a few minutes of scripture, and it's over. Same thing with Sunday worship.
Their hearts have turned back to Egypt. Verse Acts 7:40. Saying to Aaron, make us mighty ones to go before us.
For this Moshe, Moses, who led us out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him. Yeah, what's become of Moshe? He's nowhere to be seen anymore. Do you know what we're going to do? We're going to establish our own mighty one.
And that's exactly what happened with the church. The words of Moses and the prophets thrown completely out the window. And you know what? We're going to make up our own rules and regulations, and our own moral and ethical politically correct agenda, and expect to go into the kingdom when not even the early fathers that were out at Mount Sinai were able to do that.
Verse 41. And they made a calf in those days, and brought an offering to the idol, and were rejoicing in the works of their own hands. I'm going to do this.
I'm going to do that. And y'all still going to accept me? Hmm? Yeah. Good luck with that.
You're going to need luck. Because disobedience, it's disobedient, and it will not get you into the kingdom. Verse Acts 7:42 says, So Elohim turned and gave them up to worship the host of heaven.
As it has been written in the book of the prophets, Did you bring slaughtered beasts and offerings unto me during 40 years in the wilderness, O house of Yisra'el? And you took up the tent of Molech, and the star of your mighty one Kihun, images which you made to bow before them. Therefore I shall remove you beyond Babel. Beyond Babylon.
The tent of witness was with your fathers in the wilderness. He's talking about in the wilderness once again. That's where the fathers of our faith, our belief in Messiah are at.
There is proof. Question was, is there scripture that proves that the assembly you claim to be, or you claim we are to be able, or we are to be connected to, apart from the church that was established in the 2nd century, existed in the Old Testament. Our fathers had nothing to do with the 2nd century church.
Again in verse Acts 7:44, the tent of witness was with our fathers in the wilderness as he appointed instructing Moshe, Moses, to make it according to the pattern that he had seen. There is no other patron. There is no other pattern given to those who believe in Yah.
There has been many other patterns established by the churches, but that is through man-made doctrine and man-made tradition. Again, today and last night, it's about, are you going to worship in tradition or in truth? That's the question. Verse Acts 7:45, which our fathers, our fathers, the fathers of the faith of the people in the 1st century that believed in Messiah, that's what Stephen is ministering to them about, is that the 1st century group of believers that received the Savior, their fathers are the ones who stood at Mount Sinai.
That's where the church was erected. The congregation or the assemblage of people of Yah was erected. It was then, not in the 2nd century, which our fathers, having received it in turn, also brought with Yahushua, that's Joshua, into the land possessed by the nations, whom Elohim drove out before the face of our fathers until the days of Dawid, who found favor before Elohim and asked to find a dwelling for the Elohim of Yaakov, but Solomon built him a house.
However, the Most High does not dwell in the dwellings made with hands. As the prophet says, now that doesn't mean that his presence didn't fill them, but his dwelling place, I mean the place of his origin, the place he calls home, his throne is in the Shemayim, but there are places set up here on earth that his presence has been in, and now that's supposed to, now that the temple's gone, until the future temple is erected during the thousand-year reign, we are supposed to be a type of temple for the spirit, or the ruach, or the breath of Almighty Yah, and he goes into that right here in this passage. The Most High does not dwell in dwellings made with hands.
As the prophet says, the heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. What house shall you build for me, says Yahweh, or what is the place of my rest? In other words, he's saying my rest does not take place on the earth. He gives us rest on the earth, and that through Yahshua Messiah and the seventh-day Sabbath.
Verse Acts 7:50 says, has my hand not made all of these? You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in hearts and ears, you always resist the breath of Yah, the spirit of Yah, as your fathers did, you also do. So that begs us to question, are we doing the same thing? Are we refusing to do what was said from Mount Sinai all the way up until the end of the prophets and moving into the days of Yahshua and what was spoken by the apostles? Because that will not get you into the kingdom. And that's exactly what this whole passage is about, is their disobedience to what was breathed by Yahweh, our creator, maker, sustainer, and redeemer.
Verse Acts 7:51, you stiff-necked and uncircumcised in hearts and ears, you always resist the set-apart spirit, as your fathers did, you also do. Which of the prophets did your fathers not persecute? Again, that's who we're our fathering. That's who our fathers are in the body of Yahshua.
Separating that assemblage from Mount Sinai all the way up until even now had nothing to do with what was erected in the second century that evolved into the Roman Catholic Church, the Catholic Church, the Protestant Church, Lutheran, so on and so forth, etc., etc. Which of the prophets did your fathers not persecute? And they killed those who before announced the coming of the righteous one. There is our connection that that group of people and the prophets and Moshe proclaimed the coming of Mashiach, the righteous one, who would redeem us.
There's the connection to the body of Messiah. In this one chapter, there is so many different connections in Scripture that says that this body existed from Mount Sinai, and it's supposed to be the same way even now when we believed in a Savior, of whom you now have become the betrayers and murderers who received the law, the Torah, as it was ordained by messengers but did not watch over it. And hearing this, they were convicted.
They were cut to the heart and gnashed their teeth at him. But he being filled of the set-apart breath, the Holy Spirit, looked steadily into the heavens and saw the glory or the esteem of Elohim and Yahshua standing at the right hand of Elohim. He was at the power and the strength and the authority of YAH Almighty.
And he said, Look, I see the heavens. He got a vision. I see the heavens opened and the Son of Elohim standing at the right hand of Elohim.
Again, that's the power, strength, and authority. And crying out with a loud voice, they stopped their ears and rushed upon him with one mind and threw him out of the city and stoned him. And the witness laid down their garments at the feet of a young man named Paul, Shaul.
And they were stoning Stephen as he was calling and saying, Master Yahshua, receive my spirit. Receive my breath, my soul. Receive up the breath that I am about to give up.
Another critical part about what is said here in the New Testament. In Ecclesiastes 12:7, it says that the breath or the spirit returns back to he who gave it. The one who gave all things breath was Yahweh when he created.
Let's read that again. Verse Acts 7:59, And they were stoning Stephen as he was calling and saying, Master Yahshua, receive my breath. Receive my spirit.
And the spirit returns back to the one who gave it. Oh, Father. And kneeling down, he cried out with a loud voice, Master, do not hold this sin against them.
And having said this, he fell asleep. There is so many passages that connect the first century assembly of people to the Old Testament that it is downright, it's just so profound. It is everywhere.
And I pray that once you see this, you'll never not see it again. I'll pray that you start seeing this everywhere when you read your Bible, all of you. Now, this word church, the church that was in the wilderness where our fathers were, so that is the assembly's fathers, is those who stood at Mount Sinai.
And they received the oracles, the living oracles or the living words of Yah from that time forward. So if we get rid of the law and the prophets, we get rid of the oracles that cause us to live in the kingdom of Yah. So we need to understand this word church because church, we all connect to Sunday go to meeting.
This thing that has evolved throughout the medieval times and everything. We really don't know the roots of that church, which is what we exposed last night. And what we see today in scripture is that actually, if you want to use the term church, the church was formed out in the wilderness when they left Egypt.
So there's the answer to your question. Maybe this was the sister here that asked this question. So let's look at this word church.
Many of us know this that have been around a while. But to you guys that are kicking this around and thinking that you may need to redirect your steps. Remember, it does not change the fact that you believe in a savior at all.
This is drawing us closer to him. When we receive these truths and we acknowledge that the church is a separate entity from the one who we are actually trying to follow. So church is Greek number 1577.
I'm going to be reading you that definition out of the Strong's Concordance. Greek number 1577. It's the Greek word ecclesia.
And here's the definition of that. A calling out. See, that's why the church fathers or the assembly's fathers, they were called out of Egypt and brought to Sinai.
A meeting, especially a religious congregation, a synagogue, or community of members on the earth or in the heaven. In the heavens. Or both.
That's what I'm submitting to you. That this assembly that was gathered together when they came out of Egypt. That was a connection between the congregation in the heavens and the congregation that he was establishing on the earth.
That's why it says that he was the one that he was ministering to them was with the church or the assembly in the wilderness. That's where it began. The connection between an assembly of beings, some in the Shemayim and some on the earth.
Some in the heavens and some on the earth. That was his whole purpose of doing that. Look back at the Garden of Eden.
It's the same exact thing. Through Adam and Hawa or Adam and Eve, we see there was a connection now. And we could all be an assembly.
Some of those beings were with Yahweh in the heavens. And now we would have a group of beings here on the earth that were one in unison with Yah as a congregation in two different areas. Now, when I go to the polyglot, which is another book that I use to chase down these words.
The polyglot tells me that that same word was used in the Greek Torah, Ecclesia, in Deuteronomy 4 at verse 10. So let's read that. Deuteronomy 4. Let's read verses Deuteronomy 4:9-14.
9-14. Again, that's Deuteronomy, Debarim, chapter 4, beginning at verse 9. In 10, we're going to see our word. Only guard yourself and guard your life diligently.
Remember, they received the oracles, the living words of life. Here we go. Only guard yourself and guard your life diligently, lest you forget the words, the living oracles of Yah.
Okay. Lest you forget the words your eyes have seen, and lest they turn aside from your heart all the days of your life, and you shall make them known to your children and to your grandchildren. Verse 10.
The day when you stood before Yahweh your Elohim in Horeb, that's Sinai, Yahweh said to me, assemble, gather. Ecclesia. This is the church.
The true congregation of Yah. Assemble the people to me, and I make them hear my words, the living oracles of Yahweh. The living oracles that lead us to life.
Assemble the people to me, and I make them hear my words, so that they learn to fear me all the days they live on the earth, and teach them to their children. We're going to read down through verse 14. And you came near and stood at the foot of the mountain.
There it is. And the mountain burned with fire to the heart of the heavens, darkness, cloud, and thick darkness. And Yahweh spoke to you out of the midst of the fire.
You heard a voice of words, but saw no form. The form later came, the body of Messiah. He was the word, correct? And he came in bodily form.
The living oracles of life had to get in a body and condemn sin in that body so that we could be freed from it. That's why Stephen is addressing these people as if Messiah was the one in the wilderness, because he was. The word of Yah that brings life was just not embodied yet.
It says here specifically, you heard a voice of words, but saw no form. You only heard the voice. And he made known to you his covenant, which he commanded you to do.
The 10 words, many of you believe that's the 10 commandments. And he wrote them on two tablets of stone. This is the marriage covenant.
This is a Ketubah proposal. And Yahweh commanded me at that time to teach you laws and judgments, right rulings, for you to do them in the land which you pass over to possess. Those are the living oracles that were given to our fathers at Mount Sinai.
And therefore, later on, after the 40 years in the wilderness. Okay. I'll check the questions here in a moment because that's all I'm going to be doing for today.
But there we see this whole thing evolved from Mount Sinai, not in the 1st century. The church has us believing that it happened in Acts 2, but no, that's not what it says. In Acts 7, it says that the living oracles were given at Mount Sinai to our fathers, even to those who believe in the Savior.
So I do pray that this answers that Christian brothers and sisters questions. And I do pray that it's also enlightened everybody else who is watching or will watch later on. Again, you can get ahold of us if you have any questions or comments.
There's our phone number. Seekers of Yahweh Ministries. And there is our email address.
So again, if you have any questions or comments, please get ahold of us. So I guess we have a question in the chat section on YouTube. Look at that here.
Here we go. Okay. Shabbat Shalom to everybody there.
Bonnie Blue, I see you're asking for prayer for those in Kentucky. Oh, yeah. There's some really severe weather going across central and eastern United States right now.
We are soliciting prayers for all the brothers and sisters out that way that Yahweh will protect them from these storms. In the name of Yahweh's redemption, Yahshua, we make that petition. Yes, the enemy always creates a counterfeit of what Yah has established, and that's exactly what we're seeing.
Yes, praise Yah for these Christian brothers and sisters that are checking this stuff out and asking questions. Oh, Brother Eric. Yeah, good to see you dialed in here.
Haven't seen you since we did your immersion. But I do pray for you and your family and Pastor June, Minister June out there in Arizona as well. We want to pray blessings upon all of you out there.
Good to see you. And you're very welcome. Yeah, yeah.
So if you watch last night's teaching, we did speak about the Judaism into this. It is not just the church. As a matter of fact, let me go ahead and explain that, because you're right, Bonnie, in order to point that out.
It's not just the church, OK, that has been a counterfeit to that. It is also Judaism. What we have to understand is some of the prophecies concerning the judgment that will take place upon the earth at the return of Yahshua.
He's going to judge a couple of different groups of people or their seed. That's going to be the seed of Seir or the seed of Edom. So Edomites and their religions will be and the Amalekites.
They have to be totally wiped out from the planet in order for the rain to be set up eternally. As he gave that command to Yahshua bin Nun. And Yahshua and the army that existed then didn't remove them from the face of the earth.
Now in order to remove somebody's bloodline, their seed from the earth completely, you must either kill every man, woman, and child that existed, which he didn't, he was not able to do at that time. But I submit to you that Yahshua bin Yahweh will. So the seed of the Amalekites, of Amalek, will be judged and destroyed and their bloodline will be removed.
Why do I say that? Because in order to kill the bloodline or the seed of any man who has already died and his seed, their seed, and it continues in the same spirit through religions. So we must understand that the seed that comes from Amalek must be destroyed. And to wipe out that bloodline, normally, where does the blood come from? The blood in our bodies stems from or is produced from the marrow of the bone.
And that's why it says that there will be ashes under our feet because you're going to wipe out those bloodlines with fire. The seed will never be able to be produced again. Any man, woman, or child that is of Edom or Amalek that has not repented and came to Yahweh through the truth, through the message, will be burned up.
There will be ashes under our feet. Then we're going to be directed into the kingdom behind Yahshua. And then at the end of the thousand-year reign, the whole earth will be cleansed and everything that is in opposition to Yah will go into the lake of fire.
The last thing to go in there is death. There'll be no more death, no more pain, no more sorrow, all that stuff we read in the book of Revelation, which happens shortly after the second resurrection of the dead. So the seed of Edom is one that we really need to look into very, very closely.
Two of the main religions that have stemmed forth from Edom, actually three, that have stemmed forth from Edom who was joined to Ishmael by marriage. That's the problem. We see Edom has intermingled with Ishmael's seed, so Islam is involved there.
Islam, much of Edom became Judaism, and much of Edom became Rome. And what came forth from Rome, the church, what came forth from Edom also was Judaism, and Judaism stemmed from those who did not convert to Christianity out in the European nations. Many of them have conformed to Islam.
So the seed of Edom and the religions that have stemmed forth from Edom and Ishmael, because, of course, Esau married a daughter of Ishmael, so that combines them together. They're now one and the same. The seed was joined together.
So we have Ishmael, Islam, Edom, the church, as well as Judaism that has evolved from the second century of the common era to the end of the medieval ages. Those religions will be destroyed by fire, and the seed of it, those in it. So, yes, it is very much all three of those factions.
But the reason why all of this started was comments and questions that had been coming to me over the past several days concerning the church and how it all happened. So that's why we were addressing specifically the church last night and this morning. And, Bonnie, I'll post last night's teaching.
And you can copy and paste it if you haven't seen it yet. That way you can understand why we're still on this topic. So she's saying, OK, all right.
Well, because of the building of the golden calf. Yeah, we can't say that Judaism started there. That would be probably not true.
You know, I have a problem with that, sister, and I'll tell you why. I see what you're saying now. It's highly improbable.
Judaism and the pope were not actually established until way later in the Common Era. They weren't really called. It wasn't called Judaism.
Judaism is not the original faith that was established at Mount Sinai. Just because they may have stars and everything in their belief systems, it doesn't necessarily connect it directly to religions that were established over two millennia later. However, it does play a part in disobedience that do exist from the papacy and Judaism.
And actually, the Star of David, it's said to be the Star of David. That's only approximately 500 years old. Those things would have came in later.
So that's why I would would lean towards disagreeing with that. But nevertheless, both of those religions are going to be removed. And so because it comes from a seed that's being planted, a coltai, right, or a colt.
Remember, that word isn't actually bad. It just means you're planting a different seed with a different group of words and instructions that can't lead to life through Judaism, even though Judaism has the Torah. Christianity doesn't.
I mean, they can read it, but they don't practice it. So they don't. Neither of them actually have the words or the oracles or the connection to the fathers that received them at Mount Sinai.
Why? Because they're directly connected to Edom. And unless Edom confesses in the true savior of the world and goes through the process of not only keeping the Torah, but confessing in the true redeemer, then nobody's going. None of those people will go in or can lead you to the first resurrection, the dead at the coming of Yahshua.
That's the whole point. So, halleluYah. I do pray that this has answered everybody's questions.
And I also pray that the rest of your Sabbath is blessed, that you have a great time and studying and learning of Yah's truths. And remember, if those of you Christians that have been watching, if you want more, we've got literally probably 100 written studies on the true faith. You know what we should be doing and what we shouldn't be doing.
And it's all scripturally based. If you want some of these written studies, please get a hold of me. And those of you that are watching that are already in the faith, if you want some of these studies to share with others, topics on the feasts, the Sabbath, resurrections of the dead, all of that stuff, we definitely have.
Or Torah. You know, what about the law? We've got written studies that address all of these things that somebody that is looking at this true faith would have questions about. So, you can get a hold of me.
Again, here's the ministry email address. Get a hold of me and request these things and I'll share them with you and you can share them with others. If you are just coming out of Christianity or thinking about it, please get a hold of me and ask for these written studies.
And when you sit down to look at them, pray. It may be for the first time. Say, Almighty Yahweh.
Try this. When I started to use the proper names and titles of the Father, my understanding exploded into just this huge amount of truths. My relationship with Him got real.
Pray and say, okay, Yahweh, in the name of Yahshua, if this is the way you want me to go, I need you to show me. I'm going to go through these studies. I'm going to go through them with an open mind and open heart.
If this is the direction you want me to go, reveal this stuff to me. And I can promise you, if you are kahal, if you have been chosen into the assemblage, you're going to get it. You don't need me to bring that specific part of revelation to you.
Of course, the deep things come from those who are more learned. That's a given. But you have to start studying on your own this different view of the belief in a Savior.
HalleluYah. So, may Yahweh bless and keep each and every one of you. Blessed be the name of Yah.
Again, I pray that the rest of your Sabbath goes well. And until next week, may Yahweh bless and keep each and every one of you. Shabbat shalom.
Continue to: Israel versus the Church.
Joshua 24:21-24 And the people said to Joshua, no, but we will serve YAHWEH. And Joshua said to the people, you are witnesses against yourselves, that you have chosen YAHWEH for yourselves, to serve Him (for they said, we are witnesses). And now turn away from the strange gods among you and incline your heart to YAHWEH the Elohim of Israel. And the people said to Joshua, we will serve YAHWEH our Elohim, and we will listen to His voice.
