Bible Stories - Fact or Fiction?

Bible stories are narratives that depict the events, characters, and teachings of scripture. They are found all throughout the Torah, the Prophets and the Psalms and Brit Hadasha (New Testament), and cover a wide range of topics, such as creation, sin, salvation, miracles, prophecy, and revelation. These stories are not only historical accounts, but also spiritual lessons that reveal Yah's character, plan, and purpose for humanity. They also give us an accurate detail of what is to come.

Some of the most popular events in history are:

The Creation Story: This story tells how Yahweh created the heavens and the earth, and everything in them, in six days. It also introduces the first humans, Adam and Eve, who lived in the Garden of Eden, until they disobeyed Yah and ate from the forbidden tree of the knowledge of good and evil. This story shows Yahweh's power, wisdom, and love, as well as the origin of sin and its consequences.

  • The Flood Story: This story tells how Yahweh sent a great flood to destroy the wickedness and violence that filled the earth, except for Noah and his family, who obeyed Yah and built an ark to save themselves and the animals. It also tells how Yahweh made a covenant with Noah and set a rainbow in the sky as a sign of his promise never to flood the earth again. This story shows Yahweh's justice, mercy, and faithfulness, as well as the importance of obedience and faith.

  • The Exodus Story: This story tells how Elohim delivered the Israelites from slavery in Egypt, through the leadership of Moses and the miracles of the ten plagues, the crossing of the Red Sea, and the giving of the Torah at Mount Sinai. It also tells how Yahweh provided for the Israelites in the wilderness, with manna, quail, and water, and how he guided them with a pillar of cloud and fire. This story shows Yahweh's sovereignty, holiness, and grace, as well as the need for repentance and worship.

  • The David and Goliath Story: This story tells how David, a young shepherd boy, defeated Goliath, a giant Philistine warrior, with a sling and a stone, in the NAME OF YAHWEH. It also tells how David became the king of Israel, and how Elohim made a covenant with him to establish his throne forever. This story shows Yahweh's presence, protection, and promise, as well as the value of courage and trust.

  • The Birth of Yahshua Story: This story tells how Yahshua, the Redemption of Elohim, was born in Bethlehem, to a virgin named Mary, by the power of the Ruach Ha'Qodesh, Yahweh's Spirit. It also tells how messengers announced his birth to shepherds, and how wise men from the east followed a star to worship him and bring him gifts. This story shows Yahweh's incarnation, His love, and gift, as well as the fulfillment of prophecy and the joy of salvation.

  • The Crucifixion and Resurrection Story: This story tells how Yahshua, the Messiah, died on the stake for the sins of the world, and rose from the dead on the third day, according to the Scriptures. It also tells how he appeared to his disciples and many others, and how he ascended to the shamayim (heaven) and sent the Holy Spirit to his followers. This story shows, not only Yahweh's sacrifice, but even more importantly, His victory. The fulfillment of His mission, as well as the power of the Good News and the hope of eternal life.

Stories and events in scripture are not only interesting and inspiring, but also instructive and relevant. They teach us about who Elohim is, what he has done, and what he expects from us. They also help us to understand ourselves, our world, and our destiny. By reading, studying, and applying the scriptures in our daily lives, we can grow in our knowledge, faith, and love of Yah, and become more like his Redemption, Yahshua the Messiah.
